This is a fine example of a 303 Lee Enfield No4T Mk1/2 Sniper Rifle, Factory Repaired at Ishapore in 1962. The rifle is an original No4Mk1T, most likely built by BSA in 1945.
It has been ‘out to India’ and factory repaired at Rifle Factory Ishapore in 1962, at which time it has had the hung trigger modification upgrading it to a Mk1/2 along with a new Barrel (near mint, gauging at .3025”).
The woodwork is very presentable walnut, matching numbers to the rifle throughout, except the bolt.
The rifle is fitted with a desirable No32Mk3 telescope in good overall order with positive mechanicals and clear picture.
This is a very presentable rifle with an interesting history in excellent condition with a mint barrel.
