An extremely rare Ross M10 straight pull rifle, it is in excellent condition for its age and well maintained. The serial numbers are matching on the receiver and straight pull bolt handle. The rifle has recently passed proof at the London Proof House.
Ross rifles were issued over a short period during WW1, but were withdrawn due to their unsuitability for trench warfare. They were retained in small numbers as a preferred sniper rifle, due to their high level of accuracy.
The rifle butt has visible cartouches. The fore-end stock has a few dings, which are noted in the pictures. The bright shooting grade bore is in great condition gauging .3035
This is a very collectible rifle for the military enthusiast.
