The No7 rifle based on a Lee Enfield No4 Mk1 was produced by BSA for the RAF from 1948 to around 1950. It is the only Enfield training rifle to have a 5 shot magazine. Only 2,500 examples were made.
This rifle is in excellent condition, including the bore. It has matching numbers on the wrist, bolt and fore end stock. The magazine is mismatched, which is not unusual. There is a small dent on the butt at the wrist shown in the pictures.
To find any No7 is very difficult and rarely come up for sale. All No 7 rifles that were held by cadet units have now been destroyed.
This rifle is a must for the Enfield or military trainer collector.
