This example retains most of its Suncorite finish, and has an excellent bore.
There were two action styles, one is very similar to the No5 & the second based on a standard No4 Action. Both were purpose built as the No8.
The rear sight is correct and has the Harmonised “H” setting when used with Landscape Targets.
The rifle has matching serial numbers on the Bolt, Receiver, Butt Wrist & Fore-end
The stock has a few dents and bruises, which has to be expected as the rifle is 73 years old.
A Genuine No8 Trainer built in 1949.
Lee Enfield No 8 rifles are not coming up for sale very often. This is a nice example for any collector of military trainers.
